It is important for guests to know the meal system in the hotel they intend to visit and stay in, as this makes it easier for them to organize their trip budget and choose what suits them. In the following article, we will learn about the meal systems in hotels and what each of them includes.

The meal system in hotels is divided into four classifications or plans as follows:
1- The American Plan:
The American diet (AP) includes three meals a day and an overnight stay: breakfast, two main meals, and after-dinner tea, meals are included in the room's account.


2- Modified American Plan:
The meal plan in the Modified American System (MAP) includes breakfast and lunch or dinner with an overnight stay, and the meals are included in the room account. The Modified American System (MAP) is the preferred type for hotel guests due to its flexibility.

3- European Plan:
In the European system (EP), there are no meals included with the overnight stay, but guests can choose whatever meals and drinks they want and pay for them separately.

4- Breakfast with overnight stay (Continental Plan):
The meal plan in this system (CP) includes breakfast and overnight accommodation, and the meal is included in the room account.
